Input the desired air change rate per hour and the airflow capacity of the chosen fan in cubic feet per minute (CFM) or cubic meters per minute. Upon calculation, the app displays the area volume, time per air change cycle, total volume of air requiring movement in an hour, recommended fan airflow rate, and the number of fans or air handlers needed based on the specified target size.

A general guideline suggests maintaining 4 to 8 complete air exchanges per hour for spaces with filtered or clean air.

The app also includes conversion tools such as:
